GlobalVetLINK (GVL) has invited Dr. Valerie Ragan to present the first in a series of Continuing Education courses. The webinar, titled "ADT Rule & Electronic Documentation," is scheduled for Tuesday, July 16.

The Animal Disease Traceability Program (ADTP) was established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to improve its ability to trace livestock in the event of a disease outbreak. This involves the implementation of various forms of official identification, including ear tags, brands, tattoos, and microchips. The webinar will address the changes made to the ADTP, effective March 11, 2013, requiring any animal traveling interstate to be identified and accompanied by an Interstate Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (ICVI). Dr. Ragan's goal is to educate animal health stakeholders about the new rule from a veterinarian's perspective.
