Good morning. I am pleased that Ms. Halema Baxter will join the Vet Med as the Executive Coordinator on March 25, 2019. She brings with her over 12 years of experience in administrative and programs support, special events planning, and coordination of business operations.
Halema currently holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She comes from the Department of Facilities Management at the University of Maryland where she has been the Executive Administrative Assistant II for the Associate Vice President since 2017. In her role, she provided executive level support to the Office of the Associate Vice President, Human Resources, and Department of Safety and Emergency Response. She is actively engaged in the Thriving Workplace Initiatives on campus and takes pride in being one of the university’s Green Office Representatives.
Halema is a people-person and is relationship focused. Her excellent communication skills and positive attitude in addition to her extensive experience will be a significant asset to the Vet Med. In her free time, Halema enjoys spending time with her family and is a dedicated advocate for youth sports in her community.
