Congratulation! Dr. Siba Samal Receives Another US Patent Regarding the Prevention of Poultry Infectious Disease.

Congratulations! Dr. Siba Samal's lab receives a US patent (10,383,936 B2), Infectious Laryngotracheitis Virus (ILTV) vaccine using recombinant Newcastle Disease Virus Vector. ILTV causes an acute respiratory disease of chickens that have significant economic losses to the poultry industry worldwide. In the patent, immunization with recombinant Newcastle Disease Virus expressing ILTV gD antigen induced a high level of neutralizing antibodies and offered complete protection to chickens against lethal ILTV challenges.
