Good morning. I am glad to share the good news with you, Dr. Utpal has been elected to Fellowship in the American Academy of Microbiology. The fellowship recognizes excellence, originality, and leadership in the microbiological sciences. I am happy that a faculty from our department and college elected this year. The fellowship appropriately reflects the tremendous efforts Dr. Pal has spent securing research grants, publishing landmark papers, and mentoring graduate students and postdoctoral scientists.
